INCYDA Knit & Pants | TOP SHOP Hat | ZARA Heels | NICOLE FENDEL Jewels
Monochrome stripes are always a favourite of mine. Today I’ve styled stripe on stripe, which was a design feature trending on the catwalk recently. Designers seemed especially interested in monochrome stripes, although other stripe colour combinations were also prevalent. Many of them played with the concept of converging stripes and contrasting skinny and fat stripes together, so today I’ve loosely replicated this concept in to a wearable day look.
This outfit would have to be one of the most comfortable outfits to wear. The jersey harem pants are soft and luxurious on the skin and the cosy knit is pure bliss to wear. When comfort and style coincide, I’m in heaven. I’m not a fan of being uncomfortable just in the name of fashion. I think it’s quite possible to be stylish and comfortable at the same time. There are of course moments where fashion over rules comfort. However, I do try to limit these moments. I’m sure you’ve all had nights where you’ve decided to wear a hot new dress or some stunning new heels and felt so uncomfortable that it either ruined your fun, made you self-conscious all night, or even worse, made you have to go home early? Well it’s those nights I try to avoid! My motto is, when you feel comfortable, you are the best version of yourself and you also have the most fun. After all, life is all about the experiences! I think the French describe it best. They call it having “joie de vivre”. This enthusiasm for life is what we all need and while we’re there, why not look good doing it?
